Hi Whitney.

You can be self-aware, successful, and emotionally intelligent, yet still find yourself STUCK in patterns that no longer serve you.

I see this all the time! Let me share two very different examples from my clients.

Farrah was a total sweetheart.
A single mom who would give you the shirt off her back.
Generous to a fault.
She was the go-to girl at work, the peacemaker in her family, and the scapegoat in her previous relationships.
She knew she was a people-pleaser and tried to change, but fell back into familiar patterns.
She wanted a partner and a better job, but she avoided dating and procrastinated on her job search.

She came to me exhausted, anxious, and burnt out, wanting to set a better example for her son and daughter.
Years of repressing anger & frustration while "keeping it all together" created a ball of resentment in her chest.
She didn't know what to expect from somatic release and empowering embodiment practices.
But she trusted me, and was shocked by how different she felt after a few weeks.

“Wow. I didn’t realize how much heaviness I was carrying until it started to lift. I feel more centered, composed, and clear. I honestly didn’t know it could feel this different. I'd been to therapy before, but nothing created a shift like these body-based somatic practices. I can't even explain it. My friends tell me now all the time how proud they are of me.”

This kind of transformation doesn’t happen in a workbook. 😉
It happens in real-time, with real support, in a space where you feel safe enough to face your inner wounding, and your nervous system is able to let go of the survival strategies that no longer serve you.

Devon was a high achiever.
On paper, he was successful and confident: a great career, owned a home, and had no trouble getting dates.
But underneath the polished exterior, he felt frustrated, lonely, and numb.
And he had a repeating pattern in his relationships.
They'd start out strong, but eventually, his partners always wanted more.

Devon didn’t understand. He was already doing everything right: dates, trips, gifts...
What more could they want? He thought they were needy or simply incompatible.
He wanted love, but the vulnerability required?
...Felt like standing at the edge of a cliff.

The truth is: he never fully let them in.
His emotional world was protected under lock and key, both at work and at home.
He didn’t see the value in vulnerability.
He had been taught to be strong, work hard, and keep it moving.
Even he didn’t realize how lonely it was up on that pedestal.
He was brave to seek my expert help.
Through our work, Devon started to feel and release the weight of all the armor he’d been carrying.

And that’s when the shift happened.

He started showing up more authentically in both his romantic and professional relationships.
He stopped intellectualizing everything and started feeling.
And for the first time in years, he felt connected, not just to others, but to himself.

“I'd be standing on the edge of a beautiful and deep connection, but couldn’t step in. I'd keep busy working, avoiding... but working with Whitney changed was amazing. I've learned to open my heart, and I’m not scared of speaking up with vulnerability anymore. I always prided myself on being logical and unemotional. No wonder women left me! I feel like I can be my whole self now, not just one-sided.”

Different patterns.
Same root issue: Survival strategies that no longer serve.

Farrah and Devon weren’t clueless.
They were smart, insightful, and self-aware.
But information alone wasn’t enough.

They needed integration.

💡 What does that actually mean?

Integration is when knowledge becomes behavior.

It’s when insight becomes action.
It’s when “I should” becomes “I do.”

It means staying connected to your vision, especially when your old patterns try to take the wheel.

The key to accelerating integration is addressing both the mind and body through a somatic aproach.

And let’s be honest…
It’s easier when someone’s guiding, supporting, and holding you accountable.
When there’s a set time, a familiar face, and a safe but effective process.
When someone is there to challenge your limits, celebrate your wins, and remind you why you started.

That’s what The Upward Spiral is.

Not just a plan.
Not just more information.

But real-time, trauma-informed somatic coaching designed to shift you from:

🌀 Surviving → Thriving
